Net@EDU CCI Focus Group: Defining Cyberinfrastructure for Campus Leaders

The purpose of this focus group is to educate campus administrators, faculty and researchers on the concept of cyberinfrastructure (CI) is why is important to a higher education institution. Among the questions they are working to address:

  • Why does the university need CI and what difference will it make?
  • Where can CI be applied at the university?
  • How can CI be implemented?

The focus group recently published a Good Ideas Article in the recent EDUCAUSE Quarterly. Based on their "Creating a Five-Minute Conversation About Cyberinfrastructure" white paper, this useful article provides insights for how CIOs can engage their colleagues on the intricacies of CI and how it will make a difference in their work and the institution.
