2000 Net@EDU Annual Member Meeting

Tempe, Arizona

The second annual Net@EDU member meeting was held at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel in Tempe, Arizona. Our keynote speaker, Dewayne Hendricks, a world leader in leading-edge wireless implementation, described his experiences networking the kingdom of Tonga.

During the first half of the meeting, attendees explored the latest developments in broadband wireless networking, public key infrastructure, voice over IP and pricing for advanced network connections.

The second half of the meeting provided members with the chance to participate in one of Net@EDU's working groups, as well as to determine the next steps for Net@EDU and help formulate EDUCAUSE's policy directions for the upcoming year.
