Datatel Answers Community Colleges' Urgent Call for Fundraising Support Company's Offering Provides "Virtual" Prospect Researcher
FAIRFAX, Va. - September 2, 2009 - With a record number of applications flooding the nation's community colleges and with state and county budgets tightening, two-year institutions are looking for new ways to close financial gaps. Datatel(r) has responded to this need by announcing today the release of an integrated fundraising support package designed exclusively for these institutions: Datatel Colleague(r) Advancement for Community Colleges.
The package includes Datatel's administrative fundraising software that records and manages detailed data about students, alumni, parents, community friends and supporters, and corporations. Integrated in Colleague Advancement for Community Colleges are HEP Development Services' E-Match(tm), which verifies instantly whether a donor's gift can be matched by their employer or affiliated organization, and WealthEngine's FindWealth(tm), which identifies hard assets by data mining donor and prospect lists from more than 27 sources, including real estate, philanthropic and campaign gifts, corporate biographies, stock holdings, and other hard-asset databases.
"Colleague Advancement for Community Colleges provides a game-changing strategy for all two-year institutions because it levels the playing field for them in the very competitive world of fundraising," said Liz Murphy, Datatel Chief Client Officer. "For resource-strapped community colleges, this package essentially gives them an automated and sophisticated prospect researcher on staff to target likely donors of all levels, and affords Advancement professionals the time they need to build stronger constituent relationships."
Advancement for Community Colleges is one part of Datatel's Strategic Academic Enterprise, a holistic approach for achieving institutional and student success: Strategic Enrollment Management, Strategic Planning, Institutional Advancement and Marketing, Teaching and Learning, and Performance and Operational Management.
