Hyland Software provides grant assistance to kick-start technology projectsFree service helps government agencies, healthcare organizations and colleges and universities find grants to fund technology investments in OnBase ECM software suite CLEVELAND – September 9, 2009 – At a time when revenues aren’t growing, many organizations are looking for ways to drive out costs and inefficiencies. Because it’s proven to do exactly these things by better managing processes and the documents that go along with them, many are turning to enterprise content management (ECM) applications. But here’s the roadblock: budgets are tighter than ever, so how do these projects get funded? As a way to overcome this hurdle, Hyland Software has partnered with the Grants Office, a research company helping organizations find and obtain grant funding, to provide a free service that identifies and tracks available grant money to fund OnBase investments. “Organizations are at a crossroads,” said Bill Priemer, chief operating officer for Hyland Software. “Their goal is to find ways to do more with less, but they can’t fund the necessary technology to make it happen. To make matters worse, they don’t always have the time or resources to track down grant funding. The free GOstream™ tool provides personalized grant information and updates, allowing organizations to quickly and easily locate possible funding sources for their OnBase investment. It’s an efficient and cost-effective way to secure a technology proven to bring fast, measurable savings. We’re confident organizations of all sizes and industries will benefit from this new service.” Here’s how it works. By going to http://grantdata.onbase.com, those interested can register to get access to a database of federal, state, corporate and foundation grants. Once registered, the grant data can be customized so users will only see information that makes sense for their organization. Also, a weekly e-mail is sent containing any changes and upcoming grant deadlines. The service’s benefits are three-pronged: it finds relevant grants more quickly, locates those that may be overlooked and identifies the best ones to pursue. By bringing together thousands of different types of grants, organizations have a better shot at finding – and getting – funding for their projects. In fact, organizations working through the Grants Office, which has more than 14 years of experience, have a success rate that is double the national average.
