Applying for EDUCAUSE Membership

To receive the many benefits and privileges of EDUCAUSE membership, please see our online membership application form. By completing the form you can:

  • request an EDUCAUSE membership packet
  • request that one of our member services representatives contact you to discuss membership opportunities and benefits
  • apply for membership

When we receive your form, we will contact you to obtain additional information, including listings of participating representatives who are entitled to receive complimentary subscriptions to EDUCAUSE publications. Please don't hesitate to contact Linda Kelley at membership@educause.edu or 303-939-0304 if you have any questions about membership or the application process.

Once your application has been processed, we will send you an invoice based on the dues schedule. The EDUCAUSE membership year runs from July 1 through June 30, but no matter when you join you will receive all the benefits of that membership year, with dues calculated on a prorated basis. Thereafter, you will be invoiced prior to July 1 for the following membership year.

Options for Individuals Retiring or Changing Jobs

Retired members: If you have been employed by a member institution, upon your retirement you may request that EDUCAUSE change your status to "retired." This will allow you to register for any EDUCAUSE event at the member rate. It does not include other member benefits or subscriptions to the print magazine EDUCAUSE Review. To activate your "retired" status, simply send an e-mail to tburkhart@educause.edu.

Members who are "between jobs": If you have recently left employment at a member institution, you may choose to request to be recognized by EDUCAUSE for a period of up to 12 months. While you are in transition, you will be able to receive the member rate if you register for any EDUCAUSE conferences or events. This status does not include other member benefits or subscriptions to the print magazine EDUCAUSE Review. To request that your status be changed in this manner, please send an e-mail to tburkhart@educause.edu. You will be contacted by EDUCAUSE for more information.
