Michael BermanBiographyMichael Berman is currently an independent consultant who is serving as the acting CIO at Cal State Channel Islands. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Art Center is a private, specialty art and design college with approximately 1600 undergraduate and graduate students. In addition to traditional CIO functions, the CTO is responsible for a technical skills center that includes a high-tech machine shop. Michael also had administrative oversight for Art Center's Library. Previously, Michael was the Vice President for Instructional and Information Technology at Cal Poly Pomona. He currently serves on the Evolving Technologies Committee and chaired the Program Committee for the 2008 Western Regional Conference.
