Alex Wirth-Cauchon

Biography

Alex Wirth-Cauchon is Director of Research and Instructional Support (RIS) for Mount Holyoke College. RIS is a blended department within a merged Library and Information Technology unit. RIS is responsible for developing the College's collection, providing reference services, and support for instructional uses of technology.

Alex earned his Ph.D. in Sociology at Boston College where he also worked in the Office of Information Technology. He taught Sociology at Drake University and Grinnell College. Alex helped create MITC, the Midwest Instructional Technology Center, as its Associate Director and was part of NITLE's leadership team as its Participant Relations manager before coming to Mount Holyoke in the spring of 2009.
