Also a Masters in Curriculum Design in Science from Pontificial Catholic University (Ponce, PR). As well as graduate courses in Chemistry. Taught General & Organic Chemistry at various higher education institutions in Puerto Rico. Served as consultant in distance learning for the last ten (10) years. As instructional Designer and Director of the Learning & Information Resource Center at Universidad Central del Caribe, Bayamon, PR, helped implement hybrid courses for different programs. Later worked using Blackboard as a LCMS in Carlos Albizu University where I served as Director of the Information Systems & Instructional Technology Department. Various initiatives where Distance Learning has an important role have been established at Carlos Albizu University-San Juan Campus. Recipient of a Jane N. Ryland Fellowship (2003 & 2006) and a NIH-Bioinformatics at Marine Biological Laboratory (2000) Scholarship.
