His areas of responsibility include the eLearning, P20 state data warehouse, and state data networks. He has served as President of EDNET, a Mississippi not-for-profit providing wireless educational content statewide, and he has served as Chairman of Mississippi Public Broadcasting, a state agency with statewide public television, radio and interactive videoconferencing networks. He currently serves on the Southern Region Education Board (SREB) Education Technology Cooperative. A native of Chicago, Allen lives in Lexington Kentucky with his wife Connie and their two college age children.
