Ameet DoshiUser Engagement Librarian and Assessment Coordinator Atlanta, Georgia UNITED STATES Ameet DoshiBiographyAmeet Devendra Doshi, MLS, MPA, LEED AP is the User Engagement Librarian and Assessment Coordinator at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Prior to his appointment to Georgia Tech, Mr. Doshi served as a Public Services Librarian and Lecturer at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, where he provided reference services, conducted information literacy training for faculty and students, served on diversity and outreach committees, and as a primary contact librarian for Sociology, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, and international students at UNC Wilmington. He also chaired the Public Programming, "One Book One Community" and Exhibits Committees. Prior to his appointment at UNC Wilmington, Mr. Doshi served for two years as the resident librarian at the College of DuPage located near Chicago, IL. His research interests include: assessment of the user experience, the use of gaming to teach information literacy concepts, library as a sustainable public space, international student perceptions of the academic library, and the use of open source tools in academic libraries. He has presented at numerous regional and national conferences including: Popular Culture Association (PCA), Association for College and Research Libraries (ACRL), and Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT). Mr. Doshi earned a Bachelors degree in the College Scholars interdisciplinary program at the University of Tennessee, and a Masters degree in Information Science from the School of Information Sciences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He also holds a certificate in Linux Systems from the College of DuPage. He recently completed a second Masters degree in Public Administration (MPA) with a concentration in Higher Education Leadership from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. In March 2009 he became a LEED Accredited Professional for Operations and Maintenance by the U.S. Green Building Council.
