Bob Bentz (East Carolina University)Associate Director, IT Infrastructure Greenville, North Carolina UNITED STATES Bob BentzBiographyBob has extensive background and experience with Information Technology Management and this provides a unique prospective in developing and delivering high quality information technology solutions in a variety of industry sectors. He has worked in the communication and technology field for over 30 years. Has held both technical and management positions with systems management, mainframes, networking, telephony, and satellite communications. He has both international and global experience having lived in Germany, Belgium and Saudi Arabia, and performed consultancy work in over 15 countries. He has an appreciation of foreign cultures and an understanding of doing business in foreign markets. He is able to quickly assess the needs of the academic/business objective and develop an IT plan that is mutually supportive. He has unique expertise in aligning and leveraging technology for the advantage of the business. With an extensive background in team development, project management, and Infrastructure design and managment. He has led many projects that consolidated and centralized IT services across multiple disciplines. Projects that were short in duration as well as multi-year programs up to $150M in scope. He understand the complexity of managing large teams with the challenges of implementing new services across multiple locations in many environments. He manages projects on schedule, within budget and apply quality methods and ITIL framework which are key components of his background. He is motivated to move to the next innovative challenge that results in added value to the buisness and directing the IT team towards growth opportunities and challenges. He partners well with diverse stakeholders and looks to develop successful solutions. Bob holds a BS in Computer Science and Information Systems Management, and Associates degree in Information Management with the Community College of the Air Force. Currently working towards his master's degree in Industrial and Data Communications Technology.
