Brett Sutton

Biography

Brett Sutton’s education includes an MLS (library and information science) and PhD (anthropology) from the University of North Carolina. He has been a public radio music producer and sound engineer, ethnomusicologist, systems librarian, faculty member at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Graduate School of Library and Information Science, coordinator of the Committee on Institutional Cooperation’s Learning Technology Initiative, and dean of information services at Aurora University. He is currently employed as vice president for academic technology and user services at Roosevelt University, where his responsibilities include faculty support and training, knowledge base development, IT Web site maintenance, help desk services, and system administration. He’s the author of Public Library Planning: Case Studies for Management (Greenwood 1995) and numerous articles on diverse topics, including traditional southern hymnody, folk theology, literacy, library planning, information technology, and qualitative research methods.
