Brian DavisAssociate Director, Information Security, Policy, and Records Charlottesville, Virginia UNITED STATES Brian DavisBiographyBrian Davis is an Information Technology Security and Policy Specialist with the University of Virginias Office of Information Technologies. His duties include design and implementation of a University-wide IT Security Risk Management program, security awareness promotion and training, security incident response, policy development and implementation, security and policy collaboration with the Virginia public higher education community and legislative advising to the University on IT issues. Brians recent continuing education has included multiple security workshops of the SANS Institute and participation in the EDUCAUSE/Cornell Institute for Computer Policy and Law. Brian earned B.A. and M.A. degrees in political science from Emory University and pursued doctoral work in Soviet politics at UC-Berkeley until the fall of Communism rendered his dissertation topic moot.
