Carol L. SmithChief Information Officer Greencastle, Indiana UNITED STATES Carol L. SmithBiographyCarol L. Smith, chief information officer, joined DePauw in 1994. She earned her undergraduate degree from DePauw in 1985 and her master's degree in instruction systems technology from Indiana University School of Education. Smith has been variously involved with information technology programs and initiatives at the University, including playing a key role in developing the Faculty Instructional Technology Support (FITS) program. She currently leads DePauw's 361 Degrees programs designed to enhance and transform teaching and learning at DePauw, including FITS, Student Technology Assessment Resources and Training (START), and the Information Technology Associates Program (ITAP). Smith serves on the board of directors of the Indiana Higher Education Telecommunication System (IHETS), is a presenter at numerous conferences, and is an active member of several professional organizations, including EDUCAUSE and the National Institute for Technology and Liberal Education (NITLE).
