Darren CambridgeAssistant Professor of Internet Studies and Information Literacy Fairfax, Virginia UNITED STATES Darren CambridgeBiographyDarren Cambridge returns to the classroom this fall as Assistant Professor of Internet Studies and Information Literacy in New Century College or George Mason University after several years working with AAHE and EDUCAUSE. As Director of Web Projects at AAHE, he worked with academics and technologists to envision, build and use online collaboration tools to support such programs as the Carnegie Academy Campus Program and Engaged Campus in a Diverse Democracy. As a National Learning Infrastructure Initiative Fellow, he co-lead EDUCAUSE's virtual community of practice initiative and researched ePortfolios and lifelong learning. While at the University of Texas at Austin, he lead the design of the award-winning Learning Record Online electronic portfolio system. Currently, he facilitates EPAC: The Electronic Portfolios Community of Practice, and chairs a development group on ePortfolios for the IMS Global Learning Consortium that is developing an interoperability specification for electronic portfolios.
