Biography

A professor of English at VCC, I have been involved with distance learning since the telnet MUD era in the late 80's. For twenty years, I have taught telecourse, online, hybrid, and classroom courses. My current focus is instructional design of online decision making scenarios that rely on realtime web research.

At Valencia, I co-Chair the Instructional Technologies/ Distance Learning Task Force; Coordinate "Faculty to Faculty" Connections Technology Seminar, Osceola Campus' annual staff development meeting for adjunct and full-time faculty; and am the lead Composition faculty member at the Osceola Campus.

I have a BA in English from the University of Iowa and an MFA in Creative Writing from Eastern Washington University, and have been tenured at the Community College of Southern Nevada and Valencia Community College.
