David L. Smallen

Biography

David Smallen is the Vice-President for Information Technology at Hamilton College. He is responsible for the planning and management of academic and administrative computing resources and campus voice and data communications. He has contributed to the IT field through numerous articles and presentations, service on the boards of CAUSE and EDUCOM, and as a faculty member and director of the EDUCAUSE Leadership Institute. He also co-directed the COSTS Project, an international effort that helped colleges and universities understand their investments in information technology. The COSTS project was merged with the
EDUCAUSE Core Data Service in 2006. His undergraduate and graduate degrees are in Mathematics.
