Douglas BlairAssistant Director, Administrative Computing Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania UNITED STATES Douglas BlairBiographyDoug Blair is Assistant Director of Administrative Computing in Carnegie Mellon's Computing Services division. His team is responsible for the university's web infrastructure, as well as support for campus HR and advancement systems. Doug is currently leading a deployment of a campuswide content management system, and is participating in investigations of academic data warehouses and internationalization of core systems. Recent projects include the development and deployment of an institutional portal, management of an executive Blackberry deployment, and the establishment of the Carnegie Mellon Web Forum (http://www.cmu.edu/webforum), whose mission is to link the institution's varied web activities with the university's strategies and goals. Doug holds a BS in Technical and Professional Writing and Editing from Carnegie Mellon. He periodically threatens to finish one or more of the three graduate programs he's started over the past 20 years.
