Edward HowellEdward HowellBiographyEdward has been creating eye-catching multimedia since 1991, and has created 3D characters, vehicles, virtual environments, and animations, as well as websites, flyers, advertisements, t-shirts, and technical manuals. Since 1997, he has also been teaching the skills he learned in various educational forums. Most recently, he has been hard at work in Second Life, creating virtual campuses, virtual classroom technologies and a large number of avatars. Currently, he is working as a technology and instructional design specialist in higher education, and creating animations and virtual products for a variety of clients. He is also advancing his knowledge of virtual technologies and simulations in education, and learning more about programming in order to create simpler interfaces for adding virtual behaviors and controls in digitally mediated multi-user environments. At Valencia. he works with faculty in integrating technology into the teaching and learning environment in appropriate ways that emphasize learning-centered principles.
