Elizabeth A. Van GordonElizabeth A. Van GordonBiographySince January 2008, Beth has served Indiana University as the Chief Information Officer for Indiana University Northwest. Campus responsibilities include operational, strategic and fiscal planning for all aspects of technological innovation, advancement and implementation of information and communication systems. In this role, Beth identifies and communicates the technology implications for all strategic goals and anticipates changes and emerging trends in information technology. In addition to her CIO responsibilities, Beth serves Indiana University (IU) as the Director of Learning Technology Operations. For the statewide IU community she directs services and support provided by, Digital Media Production Services specializing in the creation and production of digital multimedia including web development, digital audio and video, CD and DVD production, media conversion and duplication, and Learning Environment technology planning and design. She also directs Classroom Technology Services and Student Technology Centers including Adaptive Technology Services at the Bloomington and Indianapolis campuses. Recently she directed the implementation of support services for IUâs instance of Sakai, Oncourse CL, and IUâs implementation of iTunesU and the IU Podcasting Portal. During her 35+ years with Indiana University, she has managed and directed support services for telecommunications, university information services, and IT administrative and academic support services for faculty and students.
