Frederick H. SiffVice President & CIO Cincinnati, Ohio UNITED STATES Frederick H. SiffBiographyFREDERICK H. (FRED) SIFF is Vice President and CIO, and Professor of Information Systems in the College of Business, at the University of Cincinnati. He is the University officer responsible for coordination of both technology architecture and policies and for providing computing, telecommunications, administrative and academic systems, and associated support services for the university. Prior to coming to UC in October 1998, Siff held similar positions at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and George Mason University. Siff earned his Masters and Ph.D. in Operations Research from New York University. He was instrumental in developing Cincinnatis regional fiber ring (CERF), was on the original committee creating Ohios Third Frontier Network, and is now working on developing Ohios Digital Commons, a shared services model. Siff is a member of SAPs and Blackboards higher education advisory councils.
