Biography

George Laskaris is currently the Executive Director of New Jersey’s Higher Education Network (NJEDge.Net, Inc.), a non-profit consortium that was developed as part of the state’s plan for higher education. The consortium was created to provide collaborative resources and networked information services to its members and affiliates in support of education; research and development; outreach and public service; as well as economic development throughout the state of New Jersey.
Prior to joining NJEDge, George was Associate Provost for Information Technology at Rutgers University, where he provided leadership in the planning for information technology resources and services and was previously the Executive Director of Computing and Information Technology at Rutgers, where he was responsible for providing University-wide academic and administrative computing and telecommunications services.
