Biography

George Lorenzo is writer and editor of Educational Pathways (http://www.edpath.com), a free online newsletter on education technology, information literacy, the globalization of education, online teaching and learning, education support corporations and much more,. Educational Pathways was launched in November 2001. The first monthly issue was published in January 2002. George is also President of Lorenzo Associates, Inc., which publishes Educational Pathways and provides research, writing, editing, and special report and white paper production services for educational institutions, organizations and corporations.

George co-authored three reports for the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative E-portfolio Series and two reports for the Net Savviness Series (http://www.educause.edu/ELIResources/10220). Through his work with EDUCAUSE, George has begun a deep exploration into the topic of information literacy/fluency and is currently working on a project about the Interenet and World Wide Web, titled "SurfingThroughNoise: Riding the Online Knowledge Wave" (http://www.edpath.com/stn.htm).

George has provided research, writing, editing, and publication production services for the Sloan Consortium, the Rochester Institute of Technology, Michigan State University, the University of California College Prep Initiative, Hezel Associates, Blackboard, WebCT, and others.

George authored two guidebooks: "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Getting Your MBA Online," published by Alpha Books, a division of Penguin, in July 2005, and "eCollege: Applying for College, Taking Classes and Financing Your Education Online," published by the Sams imprint of Macmillan Computer Publishing in August 2000.

George recently published a new website devoted to online MBA progams, located at http://www.edpath.com/onlinemba.html.
