Heather GordonHeather GordonBiographyHeather Gordon is the Acting Executive Director, University Services Division at James Cook University, Queensland, Australia (JCU). JCU is a multi-campus university with the main sites located in Townsville and Cairns, with a total student population of more than 16,599 and 4,235 staff. University Services is a large and diverse Division that provides key services and infrastructure to all campuses, faculties and divisions. The Executive Director is also responsible for the management of the Cairns Campus. Heather has held senior roles in government and academic institutions in Australia, Canada and the United States. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Library Science degree from The University of Western Ontario. Heather has been a board member for several professional organizations and currently is on the Executive Committee of the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL), the Steering Committee for CAIRSS (CAUL Australian Institutional Repository Support Service), and the editorial committees for the Australian Academic & Research Libraries Journal and for EDUCAUSE Quarterly, an international journal for information resources, technologies and services.
