Jeff von Munkwitz-SmithJeff von Munkwitz-SmithBiographyI've been the University Registrar at the University of Connecticut since 1996. I also direct Summer Programs at the University. Prior to coming to the University of Connecticut, I held various positions in the Office of the Registrar at the University of Minnesota, beginning in 1974. My first job at Minnesota involved hand-writing transcripts. I have a Ph.D. in South Asian Languages from the University of Minnesota. I'm the Vice President for Information Technology and a member of the Board of Directors of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO). I'm a regular presentor on topics relating to educational records privacy, student services, and implementation of administrative information technology at AACRAO, CUMREC, and other conferences.
