John BeattyJohn BeattyBiographyJohn Beatty is an associate professor of English and Digital Arts and Multimedia Design (DArt) at La Salle University in Philadelphia. He was interim director of DArt in 2005-2006. He teaches courses in Web design, Web development, advanced authoring, editing and publishing, composition, communication and American studies. He has been a member of the La Salle Arts & Sciences Technology committee since 2004, chairing a subcommittee on training and dissemination. He has also been appointed to the new Learning Spaces Task Force that is examining planning for technology in teaching sites. He has a Ph.D. in communication form the University of Texas, master's degrees from Cornell University and University College, London, and a bachelor's (in biology) from the University of Toronto.
