John Joseph Hirschbuhl

Biography

John J. Hirschbuhl is the founder of the Center for Computer Based Education, Director of Learning Technologies and Scholar Learning Services, and Professor of Education at The University of Akron. He is a former consulting scholar for IBM and the Senior Vice President for Development and Operations for Computer Knowledge International.

Dr. Hirschbuhl has published over 200 articles in professional journals that deal with on-line education and training and has edited 10 editions of Computers in Education, published by McGraw Hill/Dushkin. In addition, he has been a consultant for many Fortune 500 companies and academic institutions.

Dr. Hirschbuhl has received his Ph. D. from The Pennsylvania State University in educational technology. He earned his M.S. and B.S. degrees in mathematics from Temple University.
