Biography

In January of 2005, John W. McGuthry was named Chief Information Officer at Armstrong Atlantic State University. He has responsibility for all information technology related strategic and tactical planning. He leads the services of academic and administrative computing, instructional technology, Web applications, networking and telecommunications. As the Chief Information Officer he serves more than 6,000 students, the faculty, and the staff with the most appropriate technologies for the University.

Mr. McGuthry previously served as the Chief Information Officer at Reinhardt College, Principal Consultant for Telcordia Technologies, and Director of the Product Management for BellSouth’s Internet Services.

He earned a B.S. in Physical Science from the University of Maryland and a M.S. in Management of Technology from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
