Kate Lindsay (University of Oxford)Principal Investigator / Manager for Engagement and Discovery Oxford, Oxfordshire UNITED KINGDOM Kate LindsayBiographyKate Lindsay is the principal investigator for project Run CoCoCo, a national initiative to support the development, running and sustainability of community digitisation projects, or community contributed collections (CoCoCo), The project was funded by the Joint Information Systems Committee after Kate managed the highly successful Great War Archive, a national scheme that invited members of the public to submit stories and memorabilia originating from the Great War via the use of digital technologies (http://www.educause.edu/EDUCAUSE+Quarterly/EDUCAUSEQuarterlyMagazineVolu...). With a strong background in learning technologies and user engagement she has also coordinated several e-learning and library projects for Oxford, as part of its Learning Technologies Group (where she also holds the post of Manager for Engagement and Discovery). She has also project managed the development of Oxford University's First World War Poetry Digital Archive (http://www.oucs.ox.ac.uk/ww1lit), which digitised important archival material from the major British war poets, and exposed these via the use of third party applications and Web 2.0 technologies.
