Biography

Keith W. McIntosh is the Assistant Vice Chancellor (AVC) for Information Technology (IT) in an acting role at Pima County Community College District. He has served in this position since April 2011. Keith has primary responsibility for the IT departments, services and operations most directly impacting the College's enterprise computing (instructional and administrative programs). He assumed a leadership role in providing project management oversight to coordinate the many IT project timelines with campus schedules to keep disruptions at a minimum and support the delivery of instruction. Previously, Keith was the Director of Technical Services for IT at Pima starting in February 2008. Prior to this he held various progressive leadership and management positions within IT during his distinguished 24.5 year service in the United States Air Force.

Keith has a Masters of Business Administration degree (Summa Cum Laude) with a concentration in Information Technology Management from Trident University International (TUI) (formerly Touro University International or TUIU) in Cypress, CA and received his undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems from Bellevue University in Bellevue, NE. He is a 2009 EDUCAUSE Institute Leadership Program graduate. He completed his second year in the CIO Executive Council (CEC) - Pathways Leadership Development Program in June, 2011. The CEC Pathways is a year long program designed to assess, mentor, and develop future IT executives in the areas of Business, Technology and Leadership.

Keith is active in EDUCAUSE. He is serving on the EDUCAUSE 2012 Enterprise IT Leadership Conference Program Committee. He most recently served on the newly combined EDUCAUSE West/Southwest Regional Conference 2011 program committee. The first regional committee responsible for a merged community program and hosting a hybrid event! Keith has presented at EDUCAUSE Annual and Regional conferences as well as CAMP events. He is also a former-member of the EDUCAUSE Identity & Access Management Working Group. He is a co-leader for the EDUCAUSE IT Metrics Constituent Group and serving on the Core Data Service Advisory Group. Mac was the inaugural recipient of the EDUCAUSE Rising Star Award in 2011.
