Biography

Kimberly Hayworth is an Academic Technology Specialist and Manager of the Academic Technology Lab (ATL) at Stanford University. The Academic Technology Specialist Program and ATL are based in Academic Computing, a division of Stanford University Libraries and Academic Information Resources.

The Academic Technology Lab (ATL) is a resource center for faculty, instructors and TAs interested in using multimedia to improve teaching, learning and research at Stanford University. The ATL also serves as a hub for Academic Technology Specialists and the rest of the campus academic community to facilitate the exchange and dissemination of technologies implemented on campus. ATL consultants provide training and support for the development of instructional materials including interactive presentations, videos, DVDs and podcasts. Faculty also receive assistance integrating technology tools into their courses. ATL staff provide consultations for web-based forums and online learning management systems such as CourseWork. In addition, ATL support includes curriculum planning, technical instruction, software and hardware purchase recommendations, implementation of curricula and course evaluation.

ATL staff also produce the Academic Technology Report podcast series featuring episodes related to teaching, learning and researching with technology.
