Lorelle WilsonDirector, Faculty Center for Learning Development West Hartford, Connecticut UNITED STATES Lorelle WilsonBiographyJean Lorelle Paul Wilson is Director of the Faculty Center for Learning Development (FCLD) at the University of Hartford, which is the instructional technology center for faculty, administering Blackboard and assisting faculty with the incorporation of technology and new teaching methods into their established curriculum. Previous to that she was an Instructional Designer in Instructional Development and Support at the University of Kansas, Lawrence where she provided technical support for Blackboard and instructional technology applications. Her career also includes work in cable television, and she was hired to be Manager of Housing Services Cable Network at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, a residentially based cable system. In this position, she was responsible for the Housing Services Web Site and launched a major redesign of that site. Jean also built and implemented a student-managed cable TV station and learning community using constructivist models and principles. She has taught workshops in video production, photojournalism, and cable TV management, and as Adjunct Faculty member of the University of Massachusetts' School of Education, she taught educational technology and documentary filmmaking. Wilson completed her graduate degree in Educational Technology at the University of Massachusetts, specializing in multimedia, and has worked on multimedia projects using authoring software, CD-ROM and web technologies.
