Meg Scharf

Biography

Meg Scharf is the Associate Director for Public Services at the University of Central Florida Libraries in Orlando, Florida, where she has worked in public services since 1984. In that time she has seen UCF's enrollment jump from approximately 14,000 to 51,000. Meg has worked in marketing and advertising, and began her career as a librarian at a legislative service agency. She is interested in the library community's role in bringing together people, technology, and information resources. Meg is also interested in service assessment, in the use of the Web-based LibQUAL+ survey as a tool for assessment and benchmarking of library services, and in the usability of library web pages. Meg is a member of the project team for an ongoing regional digitization project, Central Florida Memory.
Meg received her MLS from Indiana University Bloomington, an MBA from the University of Central Florida, and a BA in English Literature/German from Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, IN.
