Melissa WooDirector of Cyberinfrastructure/Director, Network & Operations Services Milwaukee, Wisconsin UNITED STATES Melissa WooBiographyMelissa Woo is the Director of Cyberinfrastructure and the Director of Network & Operations Services for University Information Technology Services at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In her cyberinfrastructure role, Melissa coordinates IT support for campus research and scholarly activities. Melissa also oversees the campus' central IT network and operations department, which provides enterprise application, system administration, data center operations, networking, and telecommunications services. She previously worked for the central IT organization at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, overseeing systems and operations. Melissa is a 2007 Frye Leadership Institute Fellow, and currently serves on the EDUCAUSE Professional Development and EDUCAUSE Enterprise 2010 Program Committees. She completed her PhD in Biophysics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and her Bachelor's degree at the University of California, Berkeley.
