Michael A. McRobbie

Biography

Professor Michael McRobbie was appointed as Indiana University's first Vice President for Information
Technology and CIO in January, 1997. He was appointed to the additional role of Vice President for Research in 2002, and then as Interim Provost for IU-Bloomington in 2006. He became Indiana University's 18th President on 1 July 2007.

McRobbie is also Professor of Computer Science, Professor of Philosophy, Adjunct Professor of Cognitive
Science and Adjunct Professor of Information Science on the Bloomington campus of Indiana University, and Professor of Computer Technology in the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at IUPUI.
