Biography

Mine Altunay is the Security Officer for the Open Science Grid (OSG). Along with the OSG security team, she is responsible for maintaining the operational security for OSG member organizations (Sites, Virtual Organizations and Support Centers). Her responsibilities include evaluating the current security infrastructure and its weaknesses, developing or providing bug fixes, forming incident response, maintaining the information flow among member organizations, developing and endorsing policies about privacy, access control, usage and other issues that may arise among the OSG members. She holds a PhD from North Carolina State University in Computer Engineering. Her research focuses on distributed access control management and trust issues.
