Nadine Stern (The College of New Jersey)Vice President, Information Technology and Enrollment Services Ewing, New Jersey UNITED STATES Nadine SternBiographyNadine grew up in New York City and received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Sociology from Binghamton University in 1975, and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from the University of Vermont in 1976. Nadine has held positions in both Student Services and Information Technology. She began her career as an intern in Career Services after which she went on to positions in academic advising and then Records and Registration at the University of San Francisco. She then moved from San Francisco to the University of Buffalo, where she made a career shift from student services to technology.The next move was to Rutgers University where Nadine spent 11 years in Administrative Computing. There she served as Project Manager for a team developing Rutgers' home-grown student records and registration system (which is still in use today). She went on to serve as Associate Director and then Acting Director of Administrative Computing.Joining TCNJ in 1996, Nadine accepted the position of Associate Vice President for Student Services and Administrative Systems. In this capacity Nadine advanced computing in support of student services at The College, with the introduction of web based services for students and faculty, and has led the implementation of PeopleSoft/Oracle software products for financial, human resource and student administration systems. In January, 2000 Nadine was asked to lead both the information technology and student services divisions as Chief Information Officer. Currently, as Vice President for Information Technology and Enrollment Support Services, Nadine is responsible for all aspects of Information Technology as well as the areas of Records and Registration, Student Financial Services and the newly formed Center for Institutional Effectiveness. Nadine is active in Educause having served on the Ryland Fellowship Committee, the Mid Atlantic Regional Conference Program Committee, and AGEISS (Advisory Group for Enterprise Information Systems and Services) serving as chair of that Group in the 2006-2007 year. She is also active in the PeopleSoft Higher Education Users Group and NJEdge, the New Jersey Higher Education technology organization for which she serves as chair of the CIO Group.
