Richard Greenfield

Biography

Rich Greenfield is the IT Policy manager with the Office of Information Technology Services at the University of Alaska Statewide. He is also the acting Director of the Alaska Distance Education Consortium (ADEC). Based in Anchorage in the offices of the State Library, Rich works with state and local agencies, libraries, schools, telecommunication service providers and user communities on information and networking issues.

Rich came to UA via the Library of Congress, where he worked for over 20 years, most recently as Head of the Bill Digest Section of the Congressional Research Service.

Rich has a J.D. from George Washington University Law School, an M.S. in Library and Information Science from Catholic University, and an MBA in Telecommunications Management from Alaska Pacific University.
