Richard Holeton

Biography

Richard Holeton is Director of Academic Computing Services at Stanford University. Academic Computing provides client-facing services for faculty and students including consulting and education; online course management; innovation in instructional and research uses of technology; teaching and learning spaces; multimedia services; public computing and printing; and residential network management. Formerly, Rich taught in the Stanford writing program and English Department for 12 years, coordinated the computers and writing project, and served as faculty Resident Fellow in a freshman dorm for 7 years. He is author of the hypertext novel _Figurski at Findhorn on Acid_ (Eastgate Systems, 2001) and other electronic literature, short stories, higher education scholarship and college textbooks including _Composing Cyberspace: Identity, Community, and Knowledge in the Electronic Age_ (McGraw-Hill, 1998). Rich has a BA from Stanford University, MA and MFA degrees from San Francisco State University.
