Biography

After working as an economic consultant specializing in natural resources in British Columbia, Canada, I joined the Economics Department at Middlebury College in 1984. While teaching at Middlebury, I became increasingly interested in the possibilities of using technology in the curriculum. In
1987, I joined the Academic Computing Department as Assistant Director of Academic Computing while retaining a half-time teaching appointment until 1990. Since my appointment in 1995 to Director of Instructional Technology (recently renamed Educational Technology), I have devoted my energies and
efforts to working with faculty to integrate pedagogically appropriate technology into the Middlebury curriculum.
