Susan M. Zvacek (University of Kansas)Susan M. ZvacekBiographySusan Zvacek is the Director of Instructional Development and Support at the University of Kansas, where she oversees classroom design and media support, coordinates instructional design and development initiatives, and consults with campus departments on enterprise-level technology adoption. She has worked in higher education as a faculty member, dissertation advisor, and administrator. Her publications are in the areas of distance education, instructional design, and faculty development and she is co-author of a distance education textbook (Teaching and Learning at a Distance, currently in its fourth edition) and Blackboard for Dummies. She was a Fulbright Senior Scholar in the Czech Republic and is currently conducting research with universities in Slovakia and Portugal on integrating critical thinking skills into online engineering education.
