Ted SimpsonDirector of Administrative Systems Baltimore, Maryland UNITED STATES Ted SimpsonBiographyAs director of administrative systems at MICA, I am responsible for overall strategy, implementation and upgrades, and production support for all administrative information technology. I also serve as project manager for all administrative systems projects, most recently managing successful upgrades to Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise Release 9.0 and the implementation of the iStrategy Academic Analytics suite. I proudly serve as the Small Institution Representative on the Higher Education User Group (HEUG) board of directors. I am fortunate to be a member of a state-wide group of project managers from schools in Maryland using Oracle PeopleSoft applications and a founding member of a regional group of CIOs of small colleges collaborating around Oracle PeopleSoft strategy. Prior to joining MICA, I held positions in academic services and information technology at both the University of Maryland and the Johns Hopkins University. In 2008, I was matriculated into the dual MBA/MSITS program at the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School. I hold a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Maryland and attended the Schuler School of Fine Arts. A native Washingtonian, my family and I currently live in Baltimore, Maryland.
