William Charles MonahanLead Information Security Administrator Atlanta, Georgia UNITED STATES William Charles MonahanBiographyWilliam Monahan CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCAI, HISP, ITIL, EnCE William serves as both a Lead Security Administrator at Georgia State University (GSU) and as Commander (Major) of the 622d CF (Langley AFB, over 30 personnel (officers & enlisted)). His background includes over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology field, specifically network security. Furthermore, through work experience and academic pursuits his educational accomplishments include a BS degree (engineering) from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a MS degree (engineering) from Auburn University, and an Associateâs degree (electronics) from the Community College of the Air Force. He is considered a subject matter expert in the area of Information Security Governance for both civilian and military networks. At GSU he is working with stakeholders to expand an Information Security Management System (ISMS) that has been certified to the ISO 27001:2005 standard. Moreover, his unit augments Air Combat Commandâs (ACC) Integrated Network Operation Security & Center (I-NOSC) East (over 230,000 users) on 2 weekends per month.
