Distributed Technology Support Constituent Group

This EDUCAUSE constituent group discusses the issues and challenges of offering distributed technology support (DTS) on campus. DTS is a support structure comprising some combination of central IT management and local technical support. Topics might include the liaison role of the distributed leader, needs assessment, focus, support structures, funding options, pedagogical issues, human resource issues, and implementation of basic as well as advanced services. The group is for anyone who is either involved or interested in DTS in higher education. This group meets at the EDUCAUSE annual conference and uses the electronic discussion list to discuss issues throughout the year.
