EDUCAUSE Interacts! (inspired by Ignite!) FAQQ. What is EDUCAUSE Interacts!? A. EDUCAUSE Interacts! is an Ignite-style part of the Thursday night EDUCAUSE UnParty and comprises a fun and dynamic series of 5-minute speed presentations. Sign up to be part of the fun! If you had five minutes on stage what would you say? What if you only got 20 slides and they rotated automatically after 15 seconds? What would you do? What would you say? Ignite-style events capture the best of popular and tech culture in a series of five-minute speed presentations The talks can be on can be used for tech ideas, how-to's, stories..anything that can be told in 5 minutes! Q. How do I sign up for an EDUCAUSE Interacts! session? A. Go to the EDUCAUSE Interacts! Virtual Signup Sheet! Q. Where and when is the EDUCAUSE Interacts! session? A. It all starts at 8pm on November 5th, 2009, in the Colorado Convention Center Korbel Ballroom 2A/3A. If you are speaking, please try to arrive by 7:30 p.m. Food and drink will be available starting at 7:00 p.m, so grab some food and drink and join us! Q. What kind of topics can I talk about? A. Anything goes! Great Ignite-style talks have been given from everything from the "Meaning of Life" to deep technical topics. Talk about anything you love, hate or want to inform folks about. Q. How do I prepare for an Ignite-style presentation? Here are some great tips from other Ignite-style presenters:
Q. Are there videos of Ignite-style talks available? A. Yes! Go to the O'Reilly Ignite! YouTube channel to see examples of Ignite! talks. Q. I've signed up to speak. Now what? A. Create your 20 slide presentation, practice, and send the slides to cyang@educause.edu by November 4th, 2009 at the latest so we may construct the Ignite!-style slide deck. Questions?
