Technical Requirements

System Checks & Installation

INXPO System Check: Confirm that you can access the virtual convention center.

  • Cookies and JavaScript enabled in your web browser
  • Pop-up blockers disabled in your web browser
  • Proxy server port 1935 or 80 open. If proxy server port 1935 is blocked or unavailable, INXPO’s platform will automatically tunnel to port 80.

Install Silverlight: Confirm that you can access the streamed sessions.

  • After you install Silverlight, please make sure it works by using this test link.

Adobe Connect Connection Check: Confirm that you can access the expert discussion sessions.

  • If you have problems completing the test or installing required software, please visit the Adobe Support website or call Adobe Connect Technical Support at 800-945-9120.
  • Be ready with a reliable telephone line (preferably landline) and a conference phone if you are participating as a team - in case of audio issues during the Adobe Connect sessions

To Participate You Will Need

  • A high-speed WIRED connection (wireless and/or dial-up are not recommended)
  • System checks and installation: INXPO; Silverlight; Adobe Connect details are to the right
  • Adobe Connect sessions, back-up: A reliable telephone line and a conference phone if you are participating as a team - in case of audio issues
  • Operating system, browser, and other software requirements are below

Orientation Session

To help participants maximize their online conference experience, we conducted an orientation session on October 12, 2011. View the recording and slides to see the overview and take a "tour" of our NEW online learning environment.

Accessing the Virtual Convention Center

A detailed e-mail message will be sent to all registered participants on October 11, 14, and 18. You will need your EDUCAUSE profile credentials to access the system.
