Does your institution rely on you to gather, analyze, and use evidence of impact? Do you have difficulty finding the most meaningful question to ask? Do you find yourself struggling with exactly where to begin? If so, know that you are not alone. Most institutions are leveraging nonexperts due to the increased importance being placed on evidence in education. The standards of collected evidence are becoming more rigorous, and anecdotal data are no longer sufficient. For this reason, in 2010 ELI established an initiative to bring all types of higher education institutions and professional associations into a conversation on seeking evidence of impact. Come join a group of your peers as we explore a practitioner's toolbox to familiarize you with methodology, tools, and strategies. Also be part of a collective brainstorming session that will inform the establishment of a community of practice for other professionals like you.
