Abstract:

In 2002, EDUCAUSE began to operate ECAR, the EDUCAUSE Center for Applied Research. The Center's mission is to enhance critical decisions about IT by supplying timely and meaningful information and analysis to decision makers. Since January 2002, ECAR has published 10 major studies, nearly 70 research analyses, and nearly two dozen case studies. Today, nearly 300 colleges and universities subscribe to ECAR. This session will provide an overview of major ECAR research related to: IT outsourcing, wireless communications, enterprise systems, IT funding, faculty use of course management systems, and others.
