James Burke Since 1965, James Burke has been writing, producing, and presenting award-winning television programs on science, history, and technological change. He is the author of Connections and The Pinball Effect, and co-author, with Robert Ornstein, of The Axemaker's Gift.
Ben Shneiderman Ben Shneiderman is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science, Head of the Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory, and Member of the Institutes for Advanced Computer Studies and for Systems Research, all at the University of Maryland at College Park. He regularly gives speeches on interface design, information visualization, and educational technology.
Alan Kay A Disney Fellow and Vice President of Research and Development at Walt Disney Imagineering, Alan Kay is best known for the idea of personal computing, the conception of the intimate laptop computer and the inventions of the now ubiquitous overlapping-window interface and modern object-oriented programming.
