Doreen Starke-Meyerring, Ph.D. Candidate, University of Minnesota

Based on the book Partnering in the Learning Marketspace, the authors will address the following:

  • What is the learning marketspace?
  • What do partnerships in the learning marketspace look like?
  • When and how should an institution form such a partnership?
  • What type of leader is needed for partnerships to succeed and bring added value to the institution?

The audience will discuss case studies, which provide an application approach to diverse partnerships. This session will benefit those individuals who are concerned with developing partnerships on behalf of the life long learner including faculty, administrators and students.

A brief presentation will be made on the context of the learning marketspace and the audience will have a "hands on" experience with the "readiness to partner tool" that has been developed by NLII.
